What is Fish Bone Meal?
Fish Bone Meal is a type of organic substance made from crushed and ground up fish bones.
It is a rich source of phosphorus and calcium, two essential nutrients for flower growth and development. It is typically made from the bones of fish that have been processed for their meat, like salmon or cod.
Benefits of Using Fish Bone Meal in Home Gardening
Fish Bone Meal is high in phosphorus, which is important for root development, flowering and fruit production. It is also a rich source of calcium, essential for cell walls, disease resistance and overall
plant health.
Fish Bone Meal releases nutrients slowly over time, providing a long lasting source of nutrients for plants. It adds organic matter to the soil, improving its structure, and promoting beneficial microorganisms.
Fish Bone Meal is a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to the use of chemical fertilizers in your garden. It is a 100% bio-degradable all-natural substance derived from fish by-products that would otherwise go to waste, making it a responsible use of resources. By using Fish Bone meal, you are not only nourishing your plants, but also contributing to a more sustainable eco- system.
How to use Fish Meal
For most potted plants, we recommend to limit to 3 tablespoons per 3-gallon plant pot. Use as top-dressing around established plants, or mixed with potting media before planting. Repeat application every 6 -8 weeks.
Keep unused Fish Bone Meal in the resealable package.
Fish Bone Meal may emit a very strong odor which easily dissipates in air. While Fish Bone Meal has no expiry date, it is best to consume it within 2 years from purchase.
