Feather Meal is a natural and organic substance made from the hydrolyzed feathers of poultry, typically chicken and turkey. How to use Feather Meal

For most potted plants, we recommend to limit to 3 tablespoons per 3-gallon plant pot.  Use as top-dressing around established plants, or mixed with potting media or soil before planting. Watering the area helps activate the nutrients and ensures their proper absorption by plants. It may be combined with other organic materials like Alfalfa Meal, Bone Meal and Kelp Meal, for a more balanced plant growth.  Repeat application after 8 weeks.

Note that Feather Meal is naturally high in nitrogen content,  making it ideal for plants that require high levels of nitrogen. However, excessive nitrogen may cause leaf burns, overgrown foliage and other potential adverse effects on your plants over time. While Feather Meal has no expiry date, it is best to consume it within 2 years from purchase.
