Sansevierias (popularly known as "Snake Plants") are generally easy to grow, except that they are prone to overwatering, just like any other succulents. This means that having a well-draining soil is best for this type of plant. The mix should have enough grittiness in order to allow excess water to flow out.

Our Sansevieria Potting Mix contains around 60% grit- from a combination of various premium ingredients that include pumice, perlite, lava rocks, charcoal (or alternatively, carbonized rice hull) and pine bark. We also added coco peat and peat moss, as well as vermicast, all of which enable the plants' roots to absorb nutrients, which still being able to allow aeration and drainage.

Like all our potting media, our Sansevieria Mix is soil-less. We do not add garden soil or any type of soil because soil becomes sticky or compacted when wet, which eventually leads to root deterioration. It is made with premium high quality materials to ensure that we deliver the maximum benefit for your plants and therefore, the most value for your money.
